COVID-19 Response and Opportunity to Reschedule
Greetings Couples, Coordinators/Planners and Venues,
In the past weeks our nation and world has been shaken by the COVID-19 pandemic. This unfolding health crisis has disrupted the normal rhythms of our daily lives and in addition special gatherings and celebrations such as weddings. And of course your life and plans have been impacted. Some of you I have spoken with personally, others via email about future options and dates for now postponed weddings.
With that I wanted to take a moment to update everyone on Loving Celebrations plans as we know them today.
First, we are deeply sorry for the ripples that this once in a lifetime pandemic has caused to your once in a lifetime dream of your wedding day. I have heard the sorrow and uncertainty in your voices as you are now being required to change your long held plans. In the disappointment of all of this, I am grateful for the wedding community of venues and vendors who I know are diligently working to make changes to accommodate the new reality and dates. We too want to be accommodating in every way possible.
Which brings me to my second point of trying to make all of this work. Loving Celebrations had 22 weddings booked from March through May (one being yours) which has or may have been impacted. Hopefully some of the later May wedding dates can still work if things improve and health officials provide permission to gather in large groups again. In addition, previous to all of this we had 26 weddings booked from June through October.
In making new plans many of you are hoping to set a new wedding date sometime between June and end of 2020 which makes perfect sense. As you can see from just a pure numbers standpoint adding an additional 22 weddings on top of 26 previously scheduled weddings will be tricky HOWEVER we believe we can make every attempt to make it work.
Across the board Loving Celebrations is a five star rated wedding officiant organization by Wedding Pro. We are blessed to have in my opinion a team of six of the best wedding officiants and premarital counselors in the DFW area. You can’t go wrong with the love, care, attention and professionalism that you will receive from any one of us! You can find a listing and bio of our officiants at this link on our website https://loving-celebrations.net/weddingofficiants/
That said, we want to honor the very best we can the first choice you made for a particular officiant. Unfortunately this may not work in every case if your officiant was previously booked on your desired new date. IF this is the case (which will be a few) we WILL have an officiant available to lead your ceremony. In all of this of course there will be NO change in your officiant fees and we will honor our agreements. IF you make other plans (which we sure hope you won’t find need of) we would refund any monies paid.
So IF we have not already begun a conversation about a new date, or already scheduled one, please contact me just as soon as possible and we can discuss date options. Each of our officiants will have various dates available so at this point versus sending out the dates (which change daily) if you could suggest your new date and we can let you know who is available.
Also, if for some practical reason you need to become legally married before your new rescheduled date, we can accommodate that also.
Finally in this time of uncertainty, where our faith is being tested and hope is being overshadowed, I remind you of the familiar Scripture often cited at weddings and written by the Apostle Paul millenniums ago, “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” ~ 1 Corinthians 13:13.
The love which has found its way into your lives as a couple, though delayed in an official ceremony, does and will last forever!
We are praying for you and your families. Let us know how we can serve you.
Stay safe and be well.
